MMA is a sport, with rules which incorporates all aspects of the fight game. UFC, DREAM, STRIKEFORCE, ECT ECT.
K-1 Is not mma. and a karateka vs kickboxer would fight under k-1 rules rather than MMA rules.

@Gza36Chambers wtf,u dont know whats mma..man wtf..pankration have 2 phases,ground phase and standed phase and its not mma,,,it would b mma if a pankration fighter fight an oponent with a diferent art.if a karateka fight a kickboxer in the same ring its mma,if a boxer fights a muaythai fighter its mma too O_O

He’s the greatest stand up fighter I’ve ever seen. I mean, Peter Aerts is great. Ernesto Hoost is fast and has great technique. Schilt’s is a titan…but Hug. He was in a class all his own.
